Sling TV plans and packages 2026: which tier to choose
DISH / EchoStar · sling.com
Sling TV sells 3 plans. This guide explains what each tier adds, which one fits a solo viewer, a family, a sports fan or a 4K household, and how upgrading, downgrading and cancelling work, so you buy the tier you will use rather than the one with the longest feature list.
The plans
Sling Orange from $45.99/month
ESPN, Disney Channel, 1 stream
Sling Blue from $50.99/month
FOX, NBC, FS1, 3 streams; price varies by market
Orange + Blue from $65.99/month

Which plan to choose
- Solo viewer on one screen: the entry plan; 3 simultaneous streams are more than one person needs.
- Family with several TVs: check the stream limit (3) and recording (50 hours included (200 hours with DVR Plus)); upgrade only if the entry plan caps you.
- Sports fan: confirm the rights you want (NFL on FOX/NBC (Blue) and ESPN (Orange), NBA on ESPN/TNT) are in the tier before paying; add-on packs are often cheaper than the top tier.
- 4K household: this service does not stream in 4K, so do not pay for a higher tier expecting it.
Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling
Plan changes take effect at the next billing date, with upgrades sometimes applied immediately and prorated. None applies to cancellation: monthly plans end at the period end; term plans run to the end of the term. Settings, recordings and profiles survive a downgrade on most services.
